 With the upcoming NFL season in question the 20th and final roster update for Madden 11 potentially holds more importance than the typical end-of-year update. The player ratings will not only be the primary baseline for Madden 12 but if no collective bargaining agreement is reached the rosters would remain largely the same minus free agents. This final update concentrated on getting remaining players off the IR, adding players to teams and free agency, and adjusting the ratings to best reflect how teams and players are positioned heading into next season. Aaron Rodgers joins elite company as a 99 overall which could position him as the ideal cover athlete for Madden 12. Nnamdi Asomugha and James Harrison fall out of the 99 club however.
