As posted last week roster update #18 for Madden 09 is the final one of the year. That means injured players come off the IR. But EA has also put a lot of effort into providing an extensive update that better represents the performances of the players this season. Unfortunately there is no detailed list of the changes that were made this time around. A few of the names checked on so far are Joe Flacco going up to an 84, Chad Johnson dropping to 92, Kurt Warner raised to 95, LaDainian Tomlinson down to a 95, and Michael Turner up to 95. Its also nice to see John Carlson get some credit after having such a great year and never receiving a boost as he goes from 79 to now being an 89.

Cougar, +2 ... bro. They've always given us an in-depth view as to what has changed in each update. Unfortunately, they didn't this time .. so, taking the time to collect as much as you see changed, deserves the increase.
The Plax # I'm guessing (as most would probably assume), are the off field instances ... I guess -- or for just not being around much at all this season.

Here are some notable ratings for the Steelers.
Harrison, Polamalu - 98 Farrior, Hampton - 96 Aaron Smith - 95 Ike, Ben - 93 Ward - 92 Heath - 91 Townsend - 89 Woodley - 88 Ryan Clark - 87 Simmons -86 vs. Stapleton 76. I felt our OLine got better instantly once Simmons went down. These 2 ratings almost need to be reversed. McFadden - 86. Should probably be flipped with Townsend Jeff Reed - 86. This guy never gets love on the ratings, despite rarely ever missing FG's. Holmes - 85. Foote, Timmons, Keisel - 84. Nate Washington, Mendenhall - 78. Why does Mendenhall get dropped? He missed almost the entire year with an injury. Nate still in the 70's??? Trai Essex our backup RG is rated one point higher than our starter Darnell Stapleton. William Gay - 74... Come the Fck on!!!! This guy has been nothing but solid all year, but he's rated lower than Anhthony Smith who has barely seen the field all season.

Mawae is a beast, I know the Jets are regretting not resigning that guy. What a leader.

Most of the ratings are actually pretty good. Some of the ratings still seem a little off, though.
