Is anyone having overheating problems? My xbox overheated last night, "the power button lights flashed red when I tried to turn it off then on" and my Madden game kept freez'n in the middle on online games? I tried to then play an offline game after about 3-4 of my online games froze and the whole screen when out. Thats when the red light flashed around the power button. Anyone else have problems like that?

yep, time to send it in, your xbox is dead, i sent mine in, just got it back yesterday, they sent me a whole new system, but the sh!tty news is, it wont connect to live, i called them, and they said EVERY system sent out in the past 2-3 days wont connect to live, and i have to keep trying it for 2-3 more days, if it still doesnt work, to call them back, some BS for spending 400 dollars on a system...

they must've cut quality control with the money they "lose" on every system cost. The only problem with my game is that sometimes after penalties or timeouts, the game camera just circles around the stadium for what will go on for eternity if you dont reset the system. we got some time before next season tho, hopefully yours is all squared away by then

You have a greater chance of overheating if you stand it upright. Keep it laid down horizontally. The major air intake or 'vent" for the system is on the bottom for some idiotic reason. The hard drive models use up a lot of inside space for componets up top further reducing the room for cooling air to circulate. So, they basically have designed a system that works up heat in the middle and bottom of the system with the majority of vents being on the bottom. Then only gave about a 1/4 inch clearance for air to be sucked in to cool it WHEN YOU STAND IT UP. IDIOTS!!!!!!
