Roster update available on August 11.August 7, 2008 - EA Sports has informed IGN that a free downloadable cover will be made available on easports.com, featuring Brett Favre in a Jets uniform, in the next several days. Madden NFL 09 will still appear on store shelves on August 12 with Favre in a Packers uniform, but fans can choose to download and print out the cover, inserting it into the case of Madden 09. In addition, although Favre is a member of an all-time greats team when the game begins, a roster update placed on XBox Live the day before the game ships will put Favre on the Jets. what I find really funny is that they used him for the cover because he retired and thought it would be good to have one of the best qb's of all time who just finished his career on the cover...then he comes back. Favre seems a little whacked in my opinion...he has talked about leaving the game the past 5 years and just stirs up controversy every year...
