I am gonna be getting the collectors edition of this game. Are any of you guys planning on getting that one also. I am getting because I really wanna play the Head Coach game as well as Madden.

I've been going back and forth on that one. I wanna try it, but then looking at the Head Coach videos it seems like I might get kinda bored with that relatively quick. The one big thing for that is the created plays, if you can take your created plays and bring them online to Madden then I think for anyone playing in a league it's almost a must have feature since it'll give you a big advantage in a league I think knowing that you've got those couple special plays that you've drawn up specifically to exploit people's weaknesses.
I really wish they would have something like this in college since I'd like to draw up some of my own stuff on Defense to stop the guys who love running with West Virginia and what not with the option. I know there are plenty of plays out there that do the trick, but I wouldn't mind dabbling with a create a play function to make my own.
So I guess to answer your question.....not sure yet I'm still deciding.

I have always wanted to start something up in terms of a league with a game like this .. I mean, to win a championship due to your coaching skills?!?!?!?! I think some guys here are more into 'playing' vs 'coaching' .. but I think it would be cool. Idk.

Yea winning a legaue by coaching does sound kinda neat. I am still getting it just because of the 2 games and yes dont forget it is also coming with Madden 1993 i think as well. I remember that one big time played the heck out of it LOL.

I think the problem that would lie with a game where you are trying to out coach each other is that teams would need to more even. I dont really know how it works out with Head Coach, but I'd hate to have my players not executing cause of their sorry ratings holding me back. At least if you've got worse players and you are playing the game you get to go out and excecute the play. It still could be fun, and maybe that's not an issue, but that is my concern. You're right it's an interesting concept.
